XJAZZ! FESTIVAL 2026 is cancelled. But the music isn't. Five weeks before the festival, Berlin's Senate Department for Culture did not grant the funding it had promised. We therefore had to cancel the fully planned festival, with serious consequences for the future of XJAZZ!. From 8 to 11 October, artists who were meant to play XJAZZ! will still take the stage in Berlin – independently presented by friends of the festival. Four days, two very different spaces, different sounds: intimate concerts, live acts, DJs, dancing – and one proper send-off with the Funeral Party for XJAZZ! It's not the festival we planned. It's what grew out of what was left: the artists, the music, the people, and the need to meet one more time. XJAZZ! may be coming to an end. But Berlin keeps playing. All events are independently organised by the respective promoters, who invite everyone holding an XJAZZ! ticket free of charge. Information about your tickets will follow by email.XJAZZ! Wir mussten das fertig geplante Festival deshalb absagen, mit schwerwiegenden Folgen für den Fortbestand von XJAZZ!. Vom 8. bis 11. Oktober stehen Künstler, die bei XJAZZ! spielen sollten, trotzdem in Berlin auf der Bühne – eigenständig präsentiert von Freunden des Festivals. Vier Tage, zwei sehr verschiedene Räume, verschiedene Klänge: Konzerte im kleinen Kreis, Live-Acts, DJs, Tanzen – und ein richtiger Abschied mit der Funeral Party für XJAZZ! Es ist nicht das Festival, das wir geplant hatten. Es ist das, was aus dem gewachsen ist, was geblieben ist: die Künstler, die Musik, die Menschen und das Bedürfnis, sich noch einmal zu treffen. XJAZZ! geht vielleicht zu Ende. Das tut weh, und das soll es auch. Berlin spielt weiter. Alle Veranstaltungen werden eigenständig von den jeweiligen Veranstaltern organisiert.
